Green Real Estate is a hot topic nowadays as environmental friendly construction practices are hyped up since few years. Today, I am not going to talk about this issue directly but I just want to understand if such constructions really pays off as an investment? According to experts, the already built structures are contributing to heighten up the Carbon dioxide (CO­2) levels and other obnoxious gases and making the environment unhealthy. There is an immense need of drastically changing the construction practices on the whole but it is not that much easy task to convert all existing buildings into environmental friendly properties.

There are always different environmental conditions that vary from country to country, some having extreme summers while some have drought or snowy conditions. That is why; energy sector should be addressed seriously and according to weather conditions of every country. Experts have revealed this fact that green buildings experience increased productivity in several ways as compared to non-green counterparts.

Several Multinational companies have also shifted to green commercial buildings and the owners have noticed that their employees have become more productive. Their productivity is measured on two bases, average number of sick leaves taken by employees is reduced and productivity in terms of work outcome is changed. This change means that productivity is improved.

Green Revolution is needed to be taught in every level of education from school going students to office workers. When this concept will be evolved as a basic necessity, everyone will start understanding its importance and start demanding the green construction from builders. It is also not impossible that already constructed structures can not be turned into environment friendly entities. Retrofitting the existing buildings with energy efficient tools like energy saving air conditioning tools, solar panels, heat absorbing insulation in walls, floors and roofs and insulation paints that will not only save your money for the longer run but also start adding extra dollars into the overall economy of the country.

My purpose for writing this post is just to let you understand the importance of green properties and transforming your mind from non-green construction to green job.
