One thing is unambiguously agreed that no one is sure about the future of real estate market, not even experts because of the uncertainty in real estate market today. Even though adroit buyers are repenting that yesterday was the time to buy a property while few are still hoping for the best about tomorrow. Now exactly what kind of property you want to buy can only be answered by you but we are compiling few facts over here that will be helpful to make your decision easier.
There are mostly two to three options are available for buyers to avail anyone out of them, i.e. Buying a new property, Buying an old property or constructing a new one to cater any purpose. Well, I am going to exclude the third option “To construct a new property” as I want to discuss few pros and cons of buying an Old Property or new one. Let’s start with it:
First I would quote advantages of buying an old home and the best reason to buy an old property is soundness as these properties have passed through all the rough weathers for decade and still standing, it means they are solid and settled, another thing is its grandeur built-up who has seen times in years.
Another reason but not meaning to state the obvious, older buildings has mostly passed from generations to generations. These buildings have withstood despoils of times and people who worked there or spent their lives there, they are solid. You don’t buy an old building, you buy trust.
Thirdly, you don’t need to find a locality for entertainment as mostly old buildings are built closer to entertainment areas or entertainment areas are later built closer to the high-rise buildings. There are few disadvantages also attached to buying an older property.
First disadvantage is, there always something needs to be fixed or updated or need a follow up minor construction. You may always want to be tucked at replacing window panes, removing cracked plaster, updating the central air-conditioning and level sloping floors.
Another thing is, old buildings are notorious for older map styles and architect, small parking areas and storage spaces. Even if you are thinking to use the basements for storage or parking, you are finding nothing else than a smelly ambiance.
Lastly, you can’t convert the old commercial property into multiple tasking capacities like you can’t convert the lobby or lounge together into an office decorum.
