It was decided on July 4th 2007 during the 119th International Olympics Committee Session that the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Russia. The event will be carried out in the Region of Krasnodar Sochi from February 7th to February 23rd 2014. Sochi is also called a resort city in Russia. It is a beautiful place and an ideal location for the winter Olympics as its temperature goes below freezing point which is the most favorable for the winter Olympics. It has some beautiful Mountains and Black Sea coast which make it more attractive.
It was decided that all the arenas and venues for the 2014 Olympics event will be built from scrap and that required big players in the construction business. However, the construction projects of 2014 Olympics are going according to the schedule but it still needs developers and constructors to play a part in it. A recent report from the Russian media showed that the government of Russia is actively seeking investors and the commercial buildings construction needs private investors from all around the world. The most popular developers of the world from Russia, U.S, China and UAE have showed their interest in this.
Reports show that there is an investment opportunity of almost $12.5 Billion in Sochi and this investment is worth making. Other than the investment in Olympics venues construction there is a huge opportunity of investment in the Hotel, recreation complex and shopping mall constructions because Olympics attract a lot of people and the demand in the real estate sector of the hosting country rises massively.
Moreover, the planning of Russian Government looks great as they want to turn the city of Sochi more beautiful and make it year-round resort even after the Olympics. The amount of investment in the Sochi Olympics facility is higher than all the previous Olympics projects and there is a great opportunity for the developers, contractors, investors and constructors to make money.
